ZNA Polymeric surge arresters Class 1, 2, and 3 up to 245 kV
The best solutions to meet customer expectations.
To provide good quality power, utilities must constantly improve the quality of their networks; with this challenge in mind, surge protection is a key factor. Adequate surge protection is essential to optimise service continuity. It also ensures personal safety and reduces downtime costs.
The products are manufactured from high quality raw materials and components whose conformity and characteristics are checked and controlled to a high degree. In addition, the lightning conductors are designed with respect for sustainable development, limiting the consumption of resources in the manufacturing stages, and taking into account easier dismantling at the end of their service life.

Optimised and environmentally friendly design
VARISIL™ arresters are manufactured from metal oxide varistors (MOV) with high energy absorption capacity, wrapped in HTV silicone rubber and finally encapsulated in a solid core of reinforced glass fibre. The use of raw materials with outstanding electrical and mechanical properties allows the products to be more compact, thus saving overall resources and limiting waste. If necessary, the various constituents can be separated much more quickly and easily to address end-of-life and disposal.

Compliance with international standards
The products are designed and manufactured under a Quality Management System certified according to ISO 9001 and based on the latest edition published in 2015. In addition, all VARISIL™ arresters comply with the requirements of IEC 60099-4, including the new classification introduced in 2014 and related performance levels.
Type and routine tests are carried out accordingly.
